Normal Coupon Deals Work Like This:
I bought a coupon to a local restaurant that I used to pay for my meal. That $10 coupon was good for $20 toward the tab. What a deal, right?
I paid $10 at the coupon site for $20 worth of food at the restaurant. The way it worked was, I printed out the coupon and took it to that restaurant. When I went to pay for our meal, I presented the coupon which was good for $20.
There are no “catches” or “gotchas”. I only paid $10 for our $20 meal. Actually, our meals were over $20 in total, but you get the idea. I used my $20 coupon as payment instead of my $20 bill.

Coupon Business Opportunities Work Like This:
A traditional coupon program ends right there, but some offer their Customer a referral bonus to share the program with other people.
A “typical” affiliate coupon program may give you a one time referral bonus, but if the person you referred there continues to use the coupon program, the referrer does NOT receive an additional bonus. That repeat business is now considered as the coupon program’s Customer from then on.
